Dedicated Engineering Team Behind Tessa's EU-Wide Healthcare Rollout - TinyBots

TinyBots needed an engineering partner to bring Tessa to market at scale. InApps built the complete cross-device software layer, from Linux-based robot OS integration to the Android tablet companion app, and became the long-term team behind Tessa's rollout across 150+ care providers in the EU.

The Challenge

Tessa was already built. The harder problem was making her production-ready at scale, across healthcare facilities with strict compliance requirements, inconsistent environments, and users who depend on the system working every time. The technical architecture alone was demanding: a Linux-based robot and an Android tablet had to communicate in real time, reliably, with no meaningful tolerance for failure. Layer on top of that the EU's healthcare data privacy standards, near-zero downtime expectations, and the operational complexity of deploying across multiple markets simultaneously, and it became clear that TinyBots didn't just need developers. They needed a partner who could own the engineering end-to-end.

Our Solution

InApps deployed a dedicated development team with expertise in embedded Linux, Android, and cross-device communication protocols. The team built and maintained the full software layer: robot-side OS integrations, real-time voice command processing, and the companion Android tablet application used by care staff and family members. InApps deployed a dedicated team with hands-on expertise in embedded Linux, Android (Kotlin), and real-time communication protocols. The team built and maintained the full software layer: robot-side OS integrations, real-time voice command processing via WebSocket, and the Android tablet application used daily by care staff and family members. QA, release cycles, and infrastructure stability were all owned by InApps, not delegated back to TinyBots, as the rollout expanded from the Netherlands across the broader EU market. The engagement didn't end at launch. It grew.
