ODC Setup & Process
InApps can have a fully operational ODC team ready in 4–6 weeks. This includes talent vetting, candidate interviews, contract signing, tool access, and integration into your existing sprint ceremonies. We maintain a bench of pre-vetted engineers specifically to accelerate onboarding.
Yes, absolutely. You interview all candidates shortlisted from our talent pool and have full approval over every person who joins your team. We only present engineers who have already passed our 4-stage technical vetting, English proficiency, and culture assessment.
A full InApps ODC includes dedicated full-time engineers (working exclusively on your product), HR and payroll management, performance reviews, a Scrum Master (for teams of 5+), dedicated Slack channel and communication setup, real-time reporting dashboards, monthly business reviews, and physical office space in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi.
You can start with as few as 2 engineers and scale to 50+ as your needs grow. Most enterprise clients start with a team of 3–5 and scale incrementally over 6–12 months. For a single engineer, we recommend our Staff Augmentation model instead.
Yes. Our ODC model allows you to scale up or down with 30 days notice. We maintain a bench of pre-vetted engineers so we can onboard new team members in 1–2 weeks when you need to scale.
Cost & Pricing
InApps ODC pricing starts from $15/hr per engineer for a dedicated team model, and $12/hr for staff augmentation. The all-inclusive ODC rate covers engineer salary, HR management, payroll, office infrastructure, equipment, and management overhead, making it significantly cheaper than hiring equivalent talent in-house in the US, UK, or Australia.
Typical clients achieve 50–65% cost savings compared to equivalent US/UK/AU in-house hires when accounting for salary, benefits, office costs, and management overhead. A senior full-stack engineer in the US costs $150,000–200,000/yr all-in. The equivalent in Vietnam through InApps is $35,000–55,000/yr all-in.
No hidden costs. The monthly ODC rate is fully inclusive: HR and payroll management, office space and equipment, IT infrastructure and security, team management, communication tools, and performance reviews. The only variable is scope changes, additional engineers or services agreed upfront.
Staff augmentation starts at $12/hr per engineer with lower initial overhead. ODC starts at $15/hr but includes full HR, management, and infrastructure, making it 20–30% more cost-efficient at scale (5+ engineers). For 1–2 engineers on short engagements, staff augmentation is typically the better value.
IP Security & Legal
100% of all code, systems, and intellectual property created by your InApps team belongs to you. IP transfer is signed before any work begins. All engineers sign NDAs and IP assignment agreements as part of their InApps employment contract.
InApps holds ISO 27001:2022 (information security management system, third-party audited annually) and CMMI Level 3 (repeatable, measurable engineering process maturity). We also follow GDPR data handling practices for European clients and PDPA requirements for Southeast Asian clients.
Yes. Every InApps engineer signs a strict NDA and IP assignment agreement as part of their employment contract, before they are placed on any client engagement. Additionally, a mutual NDA is executed at the company level between InApps and every client before any discovery call or technical conversation begins.
Yes. We offer a 4-week paid trial engagement for ODC clients. During this period you evaluate the engineers, our process, and our communication style with no long-term obligation. Most trial engagements convert to full 12-month+ ODC contracts. The trial rate is identical to the ongoing rate, no inflated trial pricing.
Communication & Collaboration
InApps engineers work from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi (UTC+7). This provides 3+ hours of overlap with AU/SG business hours, 2–3 hours overlap with UK/EU afternoon, and same-day async with US East Coast (results available at the start of your workday). For US West Coast clients, we can arrange extended hour coverage.
All InApps engineers go through English proficiency testing as part of hiring. Mid-senior engineers communicate fluently in written and spoken technical English. We regularly run client-facing roles including stand-ups, sprint reviews, and stakeholder demos in English.
We integrate into your existing tools. Most clients use Slack, Jira, Confluence, Linear, GitHub, GitLab, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams. Our engineers join your channels, boards, and standup cadence, not the other way around.
AI Agents & Agentic AI
Yes. InApps has a dedicated AI Agent development practice using LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, and LangGraph. We build custom AI agents for specific business automation use cases, multi-agent orchestration systems, and RAG-powered knowledge agents integrated into your existing workflows.
