The Challenge
A Singapore-registered fintech needed to build a payment gateway that could handle the fragmented payment landscape of Southeast Asia, supporting local wallets, bank transfers, QR payments, and card payments across Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Compliance with local financial regulators and achieving PCI DSS Level 1 was non-negotiable for their enterprise merchant clients.
Our Solution
InApps deployed a 9-person specialist team (2 backend engineers with fintech domain expertise, 1 Go engineer for the payment processing core, 2 frontend engineers for merchant dashboard, 1 mobile engineer for consumer wallet app, 1 DevOps with PCI DSS infrastructure experience, 1 QA focusing on financial transaction testing, 1 security engineer). Architecture: a Go-based payment processing service achieving sub-200ms transaction response times, integration with 15+ local payment providers via adaptor pattern, a React merchant dashboard with real-time transaction analytics, and consumer iOS/Android wallet application.
