Complete QA automation overhaul for a high-traffic gaming platform, reducing release cycles from 14 days to 3 days with 90% automated test coverage across web, mobile, and game server APIs.
The Challenge
This rapidly growing Southeast Asian gaming platform (5M+ monthly active users) had accumulated significant QA technical debt. Manual testing was taking 14 days per release, bugs were slipping to production weekly, and the team was burning out. They needed an experienced QA team that understood gaming-specific test patterns (lag simulation, concurrent load, anti-cheat validation), not just generic automation engineers.
Our Solution
InApps deployed a 6-person QA specialist team (2 test automation engineers, 1 performance test engineer, 1 mobile QA, 1 security tester, 1 QA lead). We rebuilt their entire testing infrastructure from scratch: Playwright-based E2E suite for the web platform, Appium for iOS/Android apps, custom load testing framework simulating 100K concurrent gaming sessions, API contract testing with Pact, and CI/CD integration with GitHub Actions. All integrated into a real-time quality dashboard.
