The Challenge
A London-based HR SaaS startup had built a successful onboarding tool for SMBs but was losing enterprise deals to Workday and BambooHR due to missing features: custom workflow automation, HRIS integrations (SAP, Workday), and multi-tenant scalability. They had a 5-person engineering team that could not build fast enough. They needed a capable ODC partner aligned to UK business hours.
Our Solution
InApps stood up an 8-person dedicated ODC team (3 full-stack engineers, 1 React frontend specialist, 2 Node.js backend engineers, 1 DevOps with SaaS/multi-tenancy expertise, 1 QA). Key deliverables: a visual no-code workflow builder (React Flow-based) for HR teams to design custom onboarding journeys without engineering; HRIS integrations with SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, and BambooHR via REST and SFTP; a multi-tenant data isolation architecture with tenant-level customisation; engagement NPS survey engine with analytics dashboards.
