The Challenge

Sotoria had a bold vision: build the most secure enterprise messaging app on the market, backed by blockchain immutability. The challenge was making blockchain-based message signing fast enough for real-time chat while keeping the UX as smooth as Slack. They needed a team that was simultaneously expert in mobile, cryptography, and distributed systems.

Our Solution

Our 8-person team (2 blockchain engineers, 2 React Native engineers, 2 backend engineers, 1 DevOps, 1 QA) built a hybrid architecture: messages are end-to-end encrypted with Signal Protocol, message hashes pinned to the Ethereum blockchain for tamper-proof audit trails, and attachments stored on IPFS. We built custom key management with hardware security module support and enterprise SSO integration (SAML/OIDC).
