Full-stack travel booking platform for a Singapore-based OTA, flight search aggregation, hotel booking, tour packages, dynamic bundling engine, and B2B white-label API, handling 200K+ monthly searches.
The Challenge
A Singapore OTA (Online Travel Agency) was losing market share to Agoda and Booking.com due to an outdated legacy PHP platform that could not handle peak traffic (Chinese New Year, Tet) and lacked the dynamic packaging features modern travellers expect. They needed a complete platform rebuild in 9 months without disrupting existing bookings.
Our Solution
InApps fielded a 12-person team for a phased rebuild (4 full-stack engineers, 2 React frontend engineers, 2 backend engineers specialised in GDS integrations, 1 data engineer, 1 QA, 1 DevOps, 1 PM). We migrated from PHP monolith to a microservices architecture: flight search via Amadeus and Sabre GDS APIs with intelligent caching (response time cut from 8s to 1.2s), dynamic hotel+tour bundling engine, multi-currency payment processing, a B2B white-label API for travel agents, and a React-powered admin console for content management.
