The Challenge

Wawa Game, a fast-growing Ho Chi Minh City casual game studio, was expanding their team and needed a reliable ODC partner to own the engineering and QA function of their new flagship title. Their core team of game designers had strong creative talent but limited mobile engineering depth. They needed engineers who could work inside their game design culture while shipping production-quality mobile code.

Our Solution

InApps embedded a 7-person team directly into Wawa's workflow (3 React Native game engineers, 1 Node.js backend engineer, 2 QA automation engineers, 1 DevOps). We built: a performant React Native game client with custom animation engine for smooth 60fps gameplay, a Node.js game server with real-time leaderboards, social features, and in-app purchase validation, and a comprehensive QA automation suite (Detox for UI, custom game-state simulation for logic testing). Anti-cheat: server-side score validation with anomaly detection.

The InApps engineers felt like an extension of our own studio. They understood game culture, moved fast, and cared about quality in a way that most outsourced teams do not.
